At HCWH Europe, I coordinate a portfolio of activities related to the environmental dimension of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). I give advice to policymakers at the EU and global level on how to reduce pharmaceutical waste that could lead to the acceleration of AMR. I also coordinate the development of training for healthcare professionals on AMR in the framework of the AMR EDUCare project.
Prior to joining HCWH Europe I worked in the development and co-creation of the Rare Disease Day 2021 campaign and previously held an internship at the Strategy and Innovation Unit of the European Parliament’s DG COMM, working in the strategic positions of the institution. I have also worked for an NGO implementing EU funded projects in Latin America and have experience in a healthcare communications consultancy firm.
I hold a degree in Communications from the UPV/EHU, a Masters in Political Science from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, and undertook a Postgraduate programme in European Political Economy and Innovation from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
I’m particularly fond of Latin American cultures. You might find me drinking mate, eating quesadillas, listening to cumbia. I also love to travel, especially to non-tourist destinations (Palestine, Kosovo, and North Cyprus among many others). I like nature (a lot), reading books, (lately discovering the world of comics), and cinema. If you are curious to know more about my work at HCWH Europe you can contact me in English, Spanish, French, or Basque.
