I support HCWH Europe’s work greening the pharmaceutical supply chains in Europe and beyond. With my work, I intend to highlight the role of the organisation in driving the conversation between the pharmaceutical industry and different stakeholders to enhance sustainability and transparency in pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chains. I also support advocacy efforts to influence environmental health policies, assist with the development of AMR training for healthcare professionals (AMR-EDUCare), monitor policy developments, and support the MEP Interest group on AMR activities.
Currently, I'm completing an MSc in Sustainable Development at KU Leuven, Belgium, following my BA in International Relations and Politics from the University of Sheffield, UK. My academic journey is now driven by an interest in advancing the sustainability of supply chains in healthcare systems.
My professional journey, on the other hand, includes diverse research initiatives, most recently I volunteered at the Center for Sustainable Healthcare in the UK, focusing on sustainable procurement and planetary health. Previously, I spent three years as a researcher with the Beirut Urban Lab, working on urban governance projects. I have also worked on articles addressing social protection challenges in Lebanon. I am constantly engaged in academia through publications and participation in conferences and debates.
Beyond academia, I like exploring the urban histories of cities and capturing moments with my film camera, experimenting with new recipes when cooking, tasting wines, and getting lost in a good book. Always on the lookout for community initiatives and collectives!
