Advocacy letter to Ministry of Health

As UN member states prepare to gather in Busan, South Korea, from November 25th to December 1st for the fifth and final round of Global Plastics Treaty negotiations, Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) Europe is stepping up its advocacy efforts. Among other actions, we sent out advocacy letters to Ministries of Health across Europe, supported by the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL), where we highlighted the urgent need to address the severe health and environmental impacts of plastics, particularly in the healthcare sector, a major user of single-use plastics.

We have complemented this effort by reaching out to Ministries of Environment to highlight the environmental implications of plastic pollution.
