Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) Europe is proud to announce the launch of its EU Manifesto 2024-2029, a call for European policymakers to prioritise sustainable healthcare systems that protect both public health and the environment.
The healthcare sector accounts for over 10% of the EU’s GDP and is responsible for around 5% of the region’s net climate emissions, significantly impacting human health and the environment. In response, the manifesto outlines 10 key policy priorities designed to reduce the sector’s environmental footprint, enhance public health, and ensure that healthcare systems are fit for the future.
