It is with some sadness that I inform you that I will be stepping down as Executive Director of HCWH Europe at the end of May 2024.
I feel privileged to have been able to lead this wonderful organisation over the past six years; developing and delivering HCWH Europe’s first strategic plan, shepherding the organisation through the COVID pandemic, and building Europe’s largest sustainable healthcare network (GGHH).
The sustainable healthcare movement has grown significantly over the past 5 years, and I’m proud that HCWH Europe is playing an active role at the heart of that movement. Our team has expanded rapidly to meet the growing demand for more sustainable solutions and approaches in the European healthcare sector. The culmination of all this hard work was captured in our 20th anniversary report, which was published earlier in the year.
I will miss working with all of our members and partners, as well as our incredible team, who are the bedrock of our organisation and who have been a source of energy and inspiration during my time here.
I will be continuing in an acting capacity to assist with the transition process, until a new Executive Director has been appointed. We will also be appointing a new Board of Directors at our AGM this summer, and starting to work on the organisation’s next strategic plan, so 2024 is a transformational year for us.
This is probably the most exciting moment in HCWH Europe’s 20 year history. Whilst I am sad to no longer be playing a leading role in moving the movement forward, I am positive about future and looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for this fantastic organisation.
Will Clark
