- Registration required: Open exclusively to members of HCWH Europe Healthcare professional networks
Health Care Without Harm Europe's Climate-smart healthcare programme is bringing healthcare professionals a new training session on decarbonising the healthcare sector.
It's exclusively open to members of HCWH Europe's healthcare professional networks: Doctors for Greener Healthcare, Pharmacists for Greener Healthcare, and Nurses Climate Challenge Europe. Membership is free. By joining the network that's right for you, you will have access to platforms, guidance, training, tools, and resources to support you in taking action to reduce the environmental impact of the healthcare sector.
As trusted leaders within society, healthcare professionals have a unique opportunity to advance sustainable healthcare and influence public policy to better protect the health of their communities from environmental harm. HCWH Europe aims to mobilise and equip European healthcare professionals to advance sustainable healthcare through these networks, and this upcoming training session.
Training agenda
Attendees of this training session will learn from our Climate-smart Healthcare programme team about carbon footprints and how to calculate them, as well as how to advocate for climate action by countering common myths and doubts about climate change and health. They will also hear from fellow healthcare professionals about their experiences advocating for sustainability and enacting decarbonisation measures in their workplace.
