CleanMed Barcelona 2025

Following the success of CleanMed Europe just a few weeks ago, we’re excited to invite you to CleanMed Barcelona 2025, an in-person conference taking place on 29 October in Barcelona, Spain.

This year’s regional event, organised by Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) Europe in collaboration with ECODES and Fundació Sanitària Mollet, will bring together healthcare professionals and sustainability leaders to explore practical ways to advance decarbonisation and sustainability in healthcare.

The event will be primarily in Spanish, but all sessions will be available with simultaneous Spanish-English interpretation to ensure meaningful engagement for all participants.

Pre-conference: Tuesday, 28 October

• Guided tour of Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau (16:30–18:00)

  Discover the world’s largest Art Nouveau complex and Barcelona’s first green hospital — a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its architectural beauty.

• Networking dinner (20:00)

  After the tour, we’ll reconvene at a central Barcelona restaurant. Enjoy local food and drinks while connecting with colleagues and have a relaxed opportunity to meet other attendees ahead of the main conference.

Post-conference: Thursday, 30 October 2025

• Decarbonising healthcare infrastructure and planetary health solutions: An essential training module (10:00–14:00)

  Hosted at the new ISGlobal Planetary Health Development Centre (Fundació Sanitària de Mollet), this exclusive four-hour training blends theory and practice. Learn the foundations of healthcare decarbonisation and planetary health, work hands-on with simulation tools (CELL and ePlanet), and explore how these strategies are applied locally at Hospital de Mollet.
